a lil' tribute to MacGyver

We all know MacGyver is a stud... (well, maybe some of you don't know. But for those of us who grew up having the privilege to watch this guy make just about anything - out of anything - and use that anything to beat the bad guys... o what a joy it was to watch.)

Equally cool with MacGyver's style is the theme song for his show...

allow your ears to enjoy ( I couldn't tell which one was the best, so I posted both of them...)
To hear the theme, click on the two different pictures above.

------

and just for kicks I thought I'd post the actual MacGyver show intro in the link below...
When you watch this clip (the link is below #6) take careful note of the scenes. Some of them are totally random and are hilarious. For instance, Watch MacGyver:
1. Go flying out of the moving jeep. -he looks like a monkey during this-
2. Have a perfect pose when he's on the wing of the plane.
3. Stare down a Cobra. (extra hilarious)
4. Peer out of the top lid of a wooden box. -how random-
5. Play hockey -then making a pose...(although this has nothing to do with the show)
6. Run into the glass window of a local store face first...

------ yes no joke, all of those six things mentioned above are true and totally happen here: in this clip. enjoy.

# 3 keeps me rollin' every time I even start to think about it...

echo prayer

Well I don't know about you, but I promise a lot of people that I'll pray for them. And of course what generally happens is that I pray a couple times and then forget. Once I tried making a list of everything I wanted to pray about, but that just overwhelmed me. There were almost a hundred people and issues on the list, and I felt like I could never pray for all of them.

If the above statements describe you in the least bit,
then check out
----> www.echoprayer.com

This echo prayer thing is pretty sweet. On the website you can make a customized prayer list. Then you can have the requests randomly sent to you throughout the day through e-mail, or even text sent to your phone. .....

still not gettin' it????
What Is Echo?
Pure and simple, Echo is a tool to help you pray more diligently.

1. You create a prayer list
2. You set times throughout the week for reminders
3. Echo emails you one prayer at a time from your list

*******You can set reminders for specific prayers or random ones,
and get them as emails, text messages or both.********

"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

self defense

I never thought I would be saying this: but I WILL be teaching a self defense class this weekend for about 60 to 80 of the women on UK's campus. (this program is part of the UK Violence & Intervention Prevention center on campus V.I.P) This is only a part of the larger conference which will be held at the Marriot Hotel this weekend. Many of you may know this group as what used to be known as "The Women's Place" This group on campus aims to make the UK campus safer for Women. . - - yet ironically- my contribution to this organization consists of actually teaching violence..? hum...that makes sense. for instance: I'll be teaching women how to perform blocks, quick finishes, going for the eyes, using swift elbows to the face, and powerful knees to the groin. ...(allow me to go ahead and apologize the the entire male gender as a whole and say: sorry, sorry if any of the girls that I teach this weekend beat the living crap out of you!)
While this post does sound like a joke. it's not. (although it is being typed a very light-hearted, in fact quite humorous tone)... Honestly, I think the reason that I'm even posting on this is due to being nervous about the weekend. I'm not really sure why I'm nervous, maybe it's because I"M ACTUALLY TEACHING A WOMEN"S SELF DEFENSE CLASS!... what in tha world..? ha ha, it actually feels weirder typing it out than thinking it. anyway but also, my nervousness comes from the fact that there are a lot of what ifs...
What if I'm demonstrating with a girl in front of the group and she gets rowdy and performs a perfect knee-to-the-groin...(on me).. ahh -
What if I fall for one of the girls because she is beautiful - yet when I ask her out, she feels threatened and performs one of the moves that she had just learned from me...
What if - I actually ENJOY this class.
What if, I watch Napoleon Dynamite before Saturday and decide to wear American Flag pants and perform a round-house kick as I teach the class.
What if I had never posted on this and kept the "Women's Self Defense Instructor" side of me a secret...
What if I help save a woman's life...

the bottom line is

A WHOLE LOTTA THIS , WILL BE GOIN' ON THIS WEEKEND....!!!!!.
(minus the pictures with the guys with guns & knives...)

get hype. Can you feel that intensity?

my manhood is on the line...may God grant me victory.

However, in the upper left corner and lower right corner: this depicts what will happen to you if you try and stop me from going to Applebee's when I want half-price appetizers....

forcing a post

There is always intense pressure in the blogger world to create new, crisp, clean & fresh posts. The best: obviously, Posts that are insightful and often clever with a touch of humor. There are also those deep posts which after you read them, want to sit and ponder for hours what you just read. There are also the spiritual posts that reveal the bloggers heart.... well, I think this post does not fall into any of the above categories.
this is just one of those times when ---------I just wanted to make a post.
Yes, I'm writing right now, but no, nothing is planned. In fact, I have no clue where this one is going... I simply just wanted to see something fresh on my computer screen when it brings up my blog. Ha, wish granted...now i just need to go ahead and end this thing.

I know, I'll just end this with a lesson that I've just learned: ---> Never ramble on and make a forced post on your blog. (well, maybe once or twice) Eventually repeated posts such as this will very soon, (if not already) take away all of the credibility from your blog > resulting in an even greater loss of support from the already way to shallow pool of faithful readers...
